Where will the in-person symposium take place? <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The symposium will be held entirely at the MRC LMB in Cambridge, UK. The speaker talks and student talks will be held in the Max Perutz Lecture Theatre of the LMB. In-person registration includes lunch and refreshments for the two days of the symposium. The formal dinner will be held at one of the college.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Where can I find the schedule?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The schedule can be found on the website and in the booklet. The booklet will be sent to all attendees a few days before the symposium and will contain the detailed programme including titles and abstracts of talks and posters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Do you provide accommodation for the symposium? <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We do not provide accommodation for the symposium. However, Cambridge is full of hotels and B&Bs, and most colleges have a B&B service during the summer. We recommend Homerton College as it is the closest college to the LMB (15 minute walk), but many other colleges also offer this service. Go to the individual college pages or University Rooms<\/a> to know more. Another good option for students is the Cambridge YHA<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How do I get to Cambridge?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Car: If you\u2019re planning on driving to Cambridge, we strongly recommend that you use the Park & Ride<\/a> scheme. Parking in the city centre is limited and several city centre roads have restricted access with penalties for using them. Disabled parking is available in the city\u2019s car parks and on some streets. Please check in advance with the Cambridge Tourist Information Centre or Cambridge Parking<\/a>.

Bus: National Express<\/a> coaches usually stop on Parkside, next to Parker\u2019s Piece in the city centre. Local Bus Services<\/a> usually run to\/from Cambridge Bus Station in Drummer Street or the adjacent Emmanuel Street and St Andrew\u2019s Street. There are frequent buses from the train station to the city centre. The Universal U<\/a> bus service runs from Eddington, next to the Madingley Road Park & Ride site, through to our Biomedical Campus from Monday to Saturday.

Train: Cambridge is well connected by train and the main station is located about one mile from the city centre. There is another train station, Cambridge North, around two miles north of the city. See National Rail Enquiries<\/a> for train timetables and to book tickets.

Air: The nearest airport to Cambridge is Stansted <\/a>(30 miles). There are direct train links to Cambridge from Stansted and Gatwick airports. Heathrow airport is also easily accessible by train (via London King\u2019s Cross\/London St Pancras). In addition, buses run regularly from Stansted, Luton, Heathrow and Gatwick airports to the city centre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How do I get to the LMB?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The LMB is on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus, with good bus connections to the train station and city centre. Bus services A and U stop close to the LMB. You can also reach the LMB on foot following the Cambridgeshire Guided Busway from the train station in 30-35 minutes. More on how to find us<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
